Bid Description:
Sealed Bids for the East Hill Road Culvert Replacement Project and associated improvements will be received by the Town of Wolcott.
Scope of Work:
The project generally consists of the removal of an existing damaged culvert and dry laid stone headwall at the inlet, provide and install a new 60” HDPE culvert with cast in place or pre-cast reinforced concrete headwall and wing walls at the inlet, dry laid boulder headwall at the outlet, ledge removal, stream and bank stabilization, guardrail installation, and other highway related items.
Work will generally follow the Vermont Agency of Transportation 2024 Standard Specifications for Construction. Interested parties shall understand that final contract award and contract signing will be dependent of FEMA funding approval.
All work shall be complete by September 15, 2026.
Bidding Documents will be issued by Wilson Consulting Engineers, PLC (jwilson@wce-co.com or 802-793-9868), or found at www.wolcottvt.org. Documents are available by PDF (free of charge).
A pre-bid conference will not be held, but perspective bidders are encouraged to visit the site prior to bidding.
A Bid Bond shall be required for the Bid submittal to be accepted and Payment & Performance Bonds will be required for the successful bidder.
Submit bids before 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 10, 2026 by email to selectboardadmin@wolcottvt.org OR in person to Wolcott Town Office 28 Railroad St, Wolcott VT, OR via USPS to Town of Wolcott, PO Box 100, Wolcott VT 05680.
The bids will be opened publicly on Monday July 13, 2026 at 10am. Bid will be awarded by Selectboard on Wednesday July 15, 2026 after 7pm.
