Bid Description:
City of Winooski (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:
2025 Stormwater CB BV169 Replacement, Contract No. STR-26-02
Sealed Bids for the construction of the Project, submitted in an opaque package labeled “2025 CB BV169,”
will be received at Winooski City Hall, attn: Finance Director, located at 27 West Allen Street, Winooski,
VT 05404, until Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at 1:00 pm local time. At that time the Bids received will be
publicly opened and read. A Bid tabulation will be sent to all Bidders after Bid opening.
The Project includes the following Work:
Replacement of a stormwater catch basin structure identified as CB BV169, located on Bellevue Street
east of Russell Street. The existing structure has an outlet pipe approximately 4-ft below pavement
grade. The Contractor shall be responsible for verifying existing pipe inverts; removal and disposal of
the existing structure and impacted hardscape materials; field verification and protection of existing
utilities within the work area; procurement and installation of all materials required for the Work in
conformance with the contract; erosion protection and sediment control; maintenance of stormwater
drainage during construction; and traffic control.
The Project has a Substantial Completion deadline of Friday, October 3, 2025, and a Final Completion
deadline of Wednesday, October 8, 2025.
Special Instructions: Obtaining the Bidding Documents:
Information and Advertisement for Bids for the Project can be found at the designated website,
https://www.winooskivt.gov/bids.aspx, which will be updated periodically with addenda.
Prospective Bidders shall contact the Engineer, Ryan Lambert, via email (rlambert@winooskivt.gov), with
inquiries and requests for Bidding Documents, prior to the Inquiry Deadline of Friday, August 22, 2025, at
5:00 pm local time. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only
through the Engineer. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including
addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Engineer.
Instructions to Bidders:
A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on site on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 8:00 am.
Each Bid must be accompanied by Bid security in accordance with the Bidding Documents. Prospective
Bidders shall note that Performance and Payment bonds are required under the contract. For all further
requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the
Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents.
