Bid Description:
Contractors are invited to bid on the Archeology Collections project for the Vermont Historical Society, the Division for Historic Preservation and the Department of Buildings and General Services at the Vermont History Center, 60 Washington Street, Barre, Vermont.
This project consists of, but is not limited to, interior renovations to the existing Vermont History Center to create records storage space for the Division of Historic Preservation.
Sealed Bids accompanied by proper Bid Security will be received by the Department of Buildings and General Services, at 10 Baldwin Street, Montpelier, Vermont, until Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at 1:30 p.m., at which time they will be opened and publicly read aloud in the department conference room.
Bonafide Bidders may obtain documents at the Department of Buildings and General Services, 10 Baldwin Street, Montpelier, Vermont 05633-7501 or by calling 802-828-5684 or 5685. There is a non-refundable fee of $75.00 for each set of documents. Cash or check made payable to State of Vermont are accepted.
There will be a mandatory pre-bid meeting at the site on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at 10:00 a.m.
Bidder’s attention is directed to:
1. Funding Source: This project is being funded, in whole or in part, through the state’s capital construction act(s) and shall require compliance with the Vermont Prevailing Wage Rate requirements (see Attachment D, Paragraph 17).
2. Full Bonding is required for this job.
3. Contractor is required to carry Builder’s Risk Insurance for this project in an amount equal to the value of the building ($17,073,076), plus construction costs.
4. It is the Bidder’s responsibility to thoroughly read and comply with all instructions and requirements of this bid solicitation.
