Bid Description:
The Town of Chelsea is accepting bids to remove and replace an accessibility ramp outside the Chelsea Town Hall. The ramp must meet current ADA standards, and the look must be consistent with the
historic nature of the building. Ideally, this design will allow access directly from the main sidewalk.
Proposals must include material selections, ie: composite or pressure treated, as well as post and baluster style. Perform evaluation of existing foundations and footings; replace if necessary. Contractor is responsible for all field measuring and disposal of existing ramp following demolition. Preparation or modification of existing ground must be included to properly accommodate installation. Protect existing buildings, plantings and infrastructure from damage during project.
