Bid Description:
The Town of Wolcott is seeking bids by engineering firms to design the replacement of two (2) culverts: Culvert ID 5-25 on Marsh Rd and Culvert ID 9-6 on Town Hill Rd in Wolcott, VT. This is a FEMA funded project.
Please bid on each culvert separately. Bids should be itemized and include fees and time for obtaining all permitting. Note that the initial sizing was completed by VTrans in these hydro studies. Engineer shall design to meet all VT stream alteration standards and Army Corps of Engineers permitting requirements.
A pre-bid inspection of the sites will be held on Thursday August 13th, 2026. Meet at 8:30 am at the site located 0.27 miles southeast of 454 Marsh Rd in Wolcott, VT or 44.549801, -72.426529 (Culvert ID 5-25). We will meet at the second culvert at ~ 9:10am located between 916 and 976 Town Hill Rd in Wolcott, VT or 44.563719, -72.465037 (Culvert ID 9-6). These pre-bid meetings are NOT mandatory, but recommended.

Bids should be either emailed to selectboardadmin@wolcottvt.org OR mailed to Town of Wolcott, PO Box 100, Wolcott, VT 05680 OR hand delivered to Town offices at 28 Railroad St, Wolcott, VT. Bids are due Friday August 28, 2026 by 2pm EDT. Bids will be opened Monday August 31, 2026 at 10 am.
The Town of Wolcott reserves the right to choose or reject any bids for any reason. EOE.
