Bid Description:
The Town of Jericho (Town) with support from The Jericho Conservation Commission (JCC), is requesting bids from qualified contractors for the removal of the Jericho Town Forest Dam. This project consists of the removal of a sheet pile dam and restoration of the impoundment to renaturalize the stream and floodplain system. The dam and all associated infrastructure, including all sheet piling, concrete blocks and culverts, shall be fully removed and hauled off site. Accumulated sediment shall be removed from the impoundment and disposed of on site. A proposed stream channel shall be graded into the former impoundment with accessible floodplains. On-site wood shall be utilized for proposed grade control structures and floodplain roughness elements.

Mandatory Site Visit |
A mandatory pre-bid site visit is scheduled for Friday, May 8th at 9 AM. Interested contractors shall meet at the Jericho Town Forest Trailhead, located off Starbird Road, in Jericho (44.504508, -72.974723). Please note that the site visit will consist of an approximate ½ mile hike down to the site through wet forest trails. |
