Bid Description:
City of Winooski (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: 2026 Road Resurfacing, Contract No. STR-27-02. Sealed Bids for the construction of the Project, submitted in an opaque package labeled “2026 Paving,” will be received at Winooski City Hall, attn: Finance Director, located at 27 West Allen Street, Winooski, VT 05404, until Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 12:00 pm local time. At 12:15 pm, the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. A Bid tabulation will be sent to all Bidders after Bid opening. The Project includes the following Work: Pavement resurfacing three Class 3 Highways in Winooski, Vermont: 1) Cedar Street north of Brisson Court, 2) Dufresne Drive, and 3) Pinegrove Terrace. The Work includes estimated quantities as follows: cold planing 11,800 square yards of bituminous concrete pavement, resurfacing with 1,130 tons of bituminous concrete wearing course, and traffic control during construction. Add-alternate scope includes reconstruction of limited segment of concrete curb with concrete sidewalk and turf restoration at the cul-de-sac of Dufresne Drive. The Project has a Substantial Completion deadline of Friday, September 4, 2026, and a Final Completion deadline of Friday, September 18, 2025.

Information and Advertisement for Bids for the Project can be found at the designated website, https://www.winooskivt.gov/bids.aspx, which will be updated periodically with addenda. Prospective Bidders shall contact the Owner’s Representative via email (rlambert@winooskivt.gov), with inquiries and requests for Bidding Documents, prior to the Inquiry Deadline of Friday, April 24, 2026, at 5:00 pm local time. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the Engineer. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Owner. Each Bid must be accompanied by Bid security in accordance with the Bidding Documents. Prospective Bidders shall note that Performance and Payment bonds are required under the contract. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents.
