Bid Description:
General Contractors are invited to bid on the Electric Service Replacement at the Vermont Veterans’ Home at 325 North Street in Bennington, Vermont.
Sealed Bids accompanied by proper Bid Security will be received by the Department of Buildings and General Services, at 10 Baldwin Street, Montpelier, Vermont, until Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at 2:30 PM, at which time they will be opened and publicly read aloud in the department conference room.
Bonafide Bidders may obtain documents at the Department of Buildings and General Services, 10 Baldwin Street, Montpelier, Vermont 05633-7501, or by calling 802-828-5684 or 5685. There is a non-refundable fee of $30.00 for each set of documents. Cash or check made payable to State of Vermont are accepted.
There will be a mandatory pre-bid meeting at the site on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at 1:00 PM.
Bidders attention is directed to:
1. The contact requirements concerning Minority and Women Business Enterprises. Minority and Women Business Enterprises are encouraged to participate.
2. Mean Prevailing Wage Requirements.
3. Full Bonding is required for this job.
4. The undersigned certifies that they have complied and will comply with the Workers’ Compensation State Contracts Compliance requirements as stipulated in these Contract Documents for total projects costs exceeding $250,000.00.
In order for a bidder’s response to be considered valid bidders must complete and submit the following two (2) forms at time of bid:
• Self Reporting
• Subcontractor Reporting
