Bid Description:
The Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department is seeking to establish purchasing agreements with up to 2 companies that can provide for all labor, materials, tools, equipment and supervision necessary to perform a variety of earthwork and maintenance jobs (Site Work) at multiple locations throughout the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont.
The contracted vendors will provide site work services (i.e. grading, excavating, placing gravel, tree removal, and miscellaneous heavy equipment and manual labor services). Work will occur at 38 owned and maintained Department fishing access areas and occasionally at some of the 100 wildlife management areas, as needed. The NEK is broken up into 2 different regions. The Newport region has 21 sites and the South Orleans region has 17 sites. Beyond annual site work, the contracted vendors may also be required to provide emergency services or small ramp repair projects, as needed.
Each contract may be up to $200,000 for a 2-year period. Average cost per site is typically around $2,000, but small ramp repair projects may exceed $25,000.
