The Vermont Agency of Education (AOE) seeks proposals to enhance reading and writing outcomes statewide, addressing a decline in reading proficiency over the last decade. This initiative aligns with and supports recommendations from the Vermont Advisory Council on Literacy, education partners, and the Vermont General Assembly. It aims to support educators, system leaders, and families and caregivers to implement evidence-based reading practices based on research on how children learn to read.
