Bid Description:
The State of Vermont, Department of Disabilities, Aging, and Independent Living (DAIL) is a department within the Vermont Agency of Human Services. The Adult Services Division (ASD) is responsible for a full array of long-term services and supports for older Vermonters and adults with physical disabilities. DAIL proposes to provide a grant opportunity to senior centers with official status as an organization, such as 501(c)(3) status, business entity status (ex. LLC), or established as a program of a city/town, for either: a.) the hiring of a part-time Public Health Specialist to conduct outreach, education, and coordination for health promotion and disease prevention, with a focus on COVID, flu, and other communicable diseases, as well as evidence-based or evidence-informed programs and practices. OR b.) The hiring of a part-time Recovery and Prevention Specialist to conduct outreach, education, and coordination for substance use recovery, substance use and relapse prevention, and substance use treatment, as well as evidence-based or evidence-informed programs and practices.
