Bid Description:
This Plain Language Training (PLT) will help the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), within the Agency of Natural Resources (ANR), staff learn about plain language and how to incorporate it into permit applications, issued permits, and other informational and educational materials. Plain language is communication people can understand the first time they read or hear it. By using plain language, DEC staff can get our message across quickly, make sure more people understand our message, and save time explaining our message. In addition, staff can ensure applications, permits, and outreach materials are more accessible and easily translated into other languages. The purpose of this RFP is to collect proposals for Plain Language Training and instruction for DEC staff to make permitting and communications more transparent, clear, and user friendly.
