Bid Description:
Through this Request for Proposal (RFP) the Department of Public Safety (hereinafter the “State”) is seeking to establish contracts with one or more companies that can provide digital microwave network maintenance to the State of Vermont. The State of Vermont, through the Department of Public Safety, operates a statewide digital microwave system which supports two-way radio and data communications for state, county and local law enforcement agencies, the Agency of Transportation and several smaller groups of governmental customers. The digital microwave network is physically collocated with many LMR radio sites that are installed at rural mountain top locations. Accessing these sites will require the contractor to maintain specialized off-road motorized equipment and have staff capable of either hiking or snowshoe into the sites.
