Bid Description:
The Department of Disabilities, Aging, and Independent Living (DAIL) is a department within the Vermont Agency of Human Services. The Adult Services Division manages and/or provides oversight of Home and Community based long-term services and supports funded through both State and Federal funds. DAIL invites proposals for academic research on the identification, assessment, prevalence, and/or intervention/prevention of self-neglecting behaviors in adults to support the work of the Self-Neglect Working Group. DAIL encourages proposals that incorporate one or more of the following: 1. systematic reviews of evidence-based practices for identifying self-neglecting behaviors in adults. 2. systematic reviews of evidence-based intervention and prevention strategies for self-neglecting behaviors in adults. 3. analyses of the current Vermont systems for identification, assessment, and prevention of self-neglecting behaviors in adults. Preference will be given to proposals that provide evidence-based recommendations for methods and/or approaches to monitoring and assessing the prevalence of self-neglecting behaviors in Vermont.
