Bid Description:
The Vermont Birth Information Network (BIN) was established to identify newborns who have specified health conditions which may respond to early intervention and treatment by the health care system. The proper and accurate coding of diagnostic information is an essential aspect of birth defects surveillance. Selected cases will require expert clinical review for a final determination of whether they meet the case definition for selected birth defects. The Contractor will be provided with case files and case definitions. For each case, the Contractor must be able to report whether the case is met, if it can be ruled out, or if additional information is required.
