Bid Description:
DEC is seeking proposals for the development of two new modules for the www.FloodTraining.vermont.gov website.
• Module One – Map and Bylaw Updates will guide municipal officials updating community hazard mitigation plans and bylaws before updated Flood Insurance Rate Maps become effective.
• Module Two – No Adverse Impact will articulate the strategy of no adverse impact on the functioning of stream and river systems to not increase risks to public safety, municipal funds, and socially-vulnerable populations while also strengthening community co-benefits. Module Two may include dynamic elements demonstrating the concept of no net fill and floodplain restoration.
The modules will be developed and refined to address the needs of municipal stakeholders. Up to $20,000 is available for the work to be completed and billed before 6/17/2022. Project is contingent on available funding.
