Contractor will provide training to inmate workers in the fields of cosmetology for women inmates and barbering for male inmates. Contractor will coordinate with Contract Manager and assigned points of contact in all six facilities ensuring inmate barbers are trained and available to the serving inmate population.
Contractor will train, and support facility barbers or cosmetologists. Contractor will train each
inmate barber/cosmetologist on their job performance and in accordance with Health and Safety
standards of the Vermont Board of Barbers & Cosmetologists.
Contractor will work with the Contract Manager to identify new trainees on a regular basis,
Contractor will conduct training sessions every month.
Contractor will visit Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility monthly to observe, or as
requested to coach, and train the inmate cosmologist's performance in the work setting.
Additionally, Contractor will visit on an as needed basis male correctional facilities on a
schedule to be determined.
All respondents must hold current license in the State of Vermont in Barbering and
Cosmetology.
