Bid Description:
Through this Request for Proposal (RFP) the Agency of Human Services (AHS), Department for Children and Families (DCF), Family Services Division (FSD) (hereinafter the “State”) with the assistance of the Children and Family Council for Prevention Programs is seeking to establish an agreement to work directly with youth who may be at-risk for school-discipline and suspension to reduce ethnic and racial disparities within Vermont districts where there is a large number of youth of color. Contractor shall work with organizations within their community to developed and successfully implement a school based community approach to reduce ethnic and racial disparities within suspension rates and school-based discipline to lower youth arrest rate and provide supports to youth through a preventative approach. It is advised that this shall be implemented over at least a three-year period of time in order to adequately implement the program and see impact within the school system.
