Bid Description:
The State of Vermont, Division for the Blind and Visually
Impaired (DBVI) is a statewide direct service organization within the Department of Disabilities, Aging
and Independent Living (DAIL) in the Agency of Human Services (AHS), jointly hereafter “State.”
DBVI is seeking a Contractor to provide specialized work-based readiness training, instruction in selfadvocacy,
and work based learning opportunities to youth who are blind or visually impaired with the
Learn, Earn, and Prosper (LEAP) Summer Work Program. An understanding of the experience of living
with a disability as well as practical knowledge of individuals that are blind or visually impaired is a
plus.
