Bid Description:
The ECO AmeriCorps program provides periodic training sessions focusing on a range of professional development and technical topics. DEC is seeking proposals for a facilitator to provide a 1-3-hour online training session to be hosted on Microsoft Teams if training is hosted by the ECO AmeriCorps Program, or a training platform provided by the contractor. These trainings will occur on Fridays between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. through the months of May and June 2020. The program is currently seeking training on a variety of topics including both soft skills and technical or scientific skills and knowledge. Soft skills would include trainings such as grant writing, public speaking, leadership, networking, time management, resume development, interviewing and other skills that will assist young professionals as they prepare to enter the workforce. Technical/scientific knowledge could include environmental sampling, water quality, soil health, green stormwater infrastructure, wildlife conservation, land conservation, climate science, or other topics relevant to environmental protection and restoration in Vermont. The program anticipates offering between 3 - 5 trainings with up to $500 is available for each training.
