Bid Description:
Separate sealed BIDS for the construction of the Newport Bluffside Trail Project, generally consisting of 4,680 linear foot multi-use trail including a 10’ wide boardwalk crossing the entrance to Scott’s Cove and a sidewalk extension along Bluff Road, will be received by the Vermont Land Trust, Inc. (OWNER), at the following address: 8 Bailey Avenue, Montpelier, Vermont until 4:00 pm (prevailing local time), May 27, 2020, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. Note that the bid opening may be conducted remotely if needed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A recording of the remote opening will be made available to bidders on request. A non-mandatory remote pre-bid meeting is scheduled to be held on May 6, 2020 starting at 10:00 am (Prevailing Local Time). All parties listed on the Plan Holder’s list will be provided with a digital invitation to the prebid meeting. A recording of the pre-bid meeting will be made available to Plan Holders on request. Site inspections with Plan Holders will be scheduled on an individual basis during the pre-bid meeting or by email. All questions by prospective BIDDERS as to the interpretations of the INFORMATION FOR BIDDERS, Forms of PROPOSAL, Form of CONTRACT, Plans, Specifications or BONDS, must be submitted in writing to the Consulting Engineer DeWolfe Engineering Associates, PC, attn. Brian Lane-Karnas, PE, Brian.Lane-Karnas@dirtsteel.com, by 4:00 pm May 13, 2020. An interpretation will be issued by email to prospective BIDDERS at the addresses given by them no later than 4:00 pm May 20, 2020.
