Bid Description:
The Town of Colchester is requesting Statement of Qualifications from Contractors that are interested in a design-build project to build an expansion on the existing salt shed behind the maintenance garage at 781 Blakely Road. The attached plan shows the approximate location for the expansion. Interested contractors should submit a Statement of Qualifications by 3PM on Friday, May 15, 2020 to the Town Engineer, Department of Public Works, Colchester, VT at aclayton@colchestervt.gov.
The scope of work is expected to include the design and construction of an expansion to the existing salt shed at the Town Garage facilities, including, but not limited to, footing design, grading, drainage, and general site work. The design will be required to tie into the existing salt shed, while doubling the size of the facilities. The design and construction must meet all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. The design will be expected to take into account existing and future operations and equipment in and around the salt shed and town garage facilities.
Quality workmanship, attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work with the Town to meet the project needs, including the project schedule, are viewed as critical aspects of this project.
Prior to beginning any work, the selected Consultant and their sub consultants shall provide certificates of insurance for General Liability and for Professional Liability insurances to the Municipality. The Town of Colchester shall be named as additionally insured. The certificate of insurance coverage shall be documented on forms acceptable to the Town.
