Bid Description:
The Town of Bristol is requesting proposals for a dump body and plow, wing, and sander equipment to be installed on a 2020 truck cab and chassis.

Special Instructions:
The specifications listed in the RFP are intended to be used as a guideline. The Town welcomes proposals that meet or exceed these specifications. All proposals must note any differences in specifications. Proposals are due by Friday, March 13 at 11:00 a.m. at the Town Office at 1 South Street. The proposals can be mailed to Town of Bristol, P.O. Box 249, Bristol VT 05443, and Attn: Equipment Proposals, e-mailed to town@bristolvt.org, or faxed to (802) 453-5188. Proposals may also be hand delivered to the Town Office located at 1 South Street. The office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday. For questions regarding theses specifications please call Road Foreman Eric Cota at the Town Garage at (802) 453-4707 or by cell phone at (802) 373-9763. Questions may also be directed to Assistant Foreman Cale Pelland at the Town Garage (802) 453-4707 or Town Administrator Valerie Capels at (802) 453-2410. The bid winner will have 90 calendar days from the date of delivery of the cab and chassis to its premises to install the proposed equipment and return to the Town of Bristol. If the equipment is not returned or in full operation after that time the bid winner will pay the penalty of renting a plow, wing, and sander truck until the equipment is complete and suitable to the Road Foreman. The bids will be opened at 11:00 a.m. or soon thereafter on Friday, March 13, 2020. The Town of Bristol through its Selectboard, reserves the right to reject any or all proposals received, or to accept any proposals it deems to be in the best interests of the Town of Bristol.
