Sealed Bids for the construction of the ADDISON COUNTY COMMUNITY TRUST OTTER CREEK MOBILE HOME PARK WATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS project will be received by Engineering Ventures PC at their office at 208 Flynn Ave, Suite 2A, Burlington Vermont 05401, until 10:00 AM on March 26, 2020 local time, at which time the paper Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of constructing of the following:
The OWNER is planning to construct improvements to the Otter Creek Mobile home park water system for the purpose of providing a new water connection to the Panton Water District water main, installing a new master water meter with a pre-cast pit, and a new system distribution header to address sanitary survey issues and violations.
• New connection into Panton Water District, water main on the south side of the Panton Road • New 3” water service across the Panton Road, bored under • New pre-cast concrete water meeting vault • New 3” distribution lines that will connect to the 5 existing distribution legs of the system (all small diameter lines) • Blow off hydrants • A gravity drain for the water meter vault.
This project is funded in part through the Vermont Drinking Water State Revolving Fund. Consequently, the following provisions apply to this WORK (more detail for each of these provisions can be found in Instruction to Bidders): 1. There will be a non- mandatory site walk to review the project on March 5, 2020 at 10 AM and will meet at the site at the Otter Creek Mobile Park, 110 Panton Road, Vergennes Vermont.
The Owner requires Substantial Completion of the Work within 30 days. Substantial Completion shall include all Work except for the placement of asphalt pavement and final vegetation of the site. Final Completion of the project is required within 45 days.
Your bid will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 30 days after submission and with a 5% bid bond.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is Engineering Ventures PC at 208 Flynn Ave, Suite 2A Burlington Vermont 04501, 802-863-6225, Peter Gibbs PE, peterg@engineeringventures.com. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at Engineering Ventures PC on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 9 AM – 4 PM, and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below.
Bidding Documents also may be examined at Works in Progress, 20 Farrell St South Burlington Vermont 05403 and at the office of the owner on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 9 AM to 4 PM.
Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from Blueprints located at 20 Farrell Street #101, in South Burlington, Vermont for the cost of production. Checks for Bidding Documents shall be payable to Engineering Ventures PC. Upon request and receipt of the document deposit indicated above plus a non-refundable shipping charge, the Issuing Office will transmit the Bidding Documents via delivery service. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method selected by the prospective Bidder. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
