Bid Description:
The Town of Fairfield, Vermont is soliciting construction services for a project beginning on the west side of South Road (local road), continuing north west along Soule Drive to a sidepath next to the school. Beginning at the southern entrance to Minor Drive continuing north ending at VT Route 36 beginning at the intersection of North Road, South Road and Vermont Route 36 and extending easterly along the north side of VT 36 to an ending point approximately 75 feet east of Menards Market. Work to be performed under this project includes the construction of portland cement concrete sidewalks, bituminous concrete sidewalk, roadway paving, drainage improvements, signage improvements and other highway related items. Bidding Documents may be obtained via download electronic copy or hard copy (see Invitation to Bid attachment for instructions on how to obtain documents). All bidders shall be on the current VTRANS Contract Administration pre-qualified list “Contractors List of Bike and/or Pedestrian Path or Curb and Sidewalk Category”. Sealed bids from pre-qualified contractors shall be accepted until 7:00 p.m., prevailing time on Monday March 23rd, 2020 at the Town of Fairfield Town Offices for construction of the project hereinafter described. Bid opening will occur immediately after the bid submittal deadline. The time of receiving and opening bids may be postponed due to emergencies or unforeseen conditions. The Contract shall be completed on or before September 15th, 2020.
