Bid Description:
The State of Vermont State is issuing a formal Request for Proposal to established insurance carriers to administer an FMLI program that is solvent, efficient with respect to administrative costs, affordable to workers, and balances policy goals with the expertise of the public and private sectors. Initially, the program would be available to the Vermont State government employee population, which is made up of over 8,600 employees. Subsequently, the chosen carrier’s FMLI solution would be available to the employee populations of other private and public employers registered and/or domiciled in Vermont and eventually individuals who are self-employed and individuals whose employer chooses not to offer FMLI.
