TOWN OF RICHMOND, VERMONT BRIDGE STREET INFRASTRUCTURE REPLACEMENT PROJECT ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed Bids for the Bridge Street Infrastructure Replacement Project will be received at the Town Clerk’s Office, Town of Richmond, Vermont until 11 am local time on February 14, 2020, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of constructing approximately 640 feet of new water line and abandonment of existing water lines on lower Bridge Street, construction of approximately 590 feet of new water line and stormwater infrastructure on Upper Bridge Street as well as abandonment of existing water and stormwater infrastructure. The project also includes the installation of approximately 87-feet of 24-inch diameter steel casing under the Bridge Street RR tracks. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. Bidding Documents also may be examined at the office of the Owner: Town Clerk’s Office The Town of Richmond, Vermont Town Center Building 203 Bridge Street Richmond, Vermont 05477 (802) 434-2221 Telephone Hours: Monday 8am-5pm, Tuesday-Thursday 8am-4pm, Friday 8am-12pm Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Project Engineer, during the hours indicated above, upon payment of $150.00 for each set. Checks for Bidding Documents shall be payable to “Green Mountain Engineering”. Upon request and receipt of the document deposit indicated above plus a non-refundable shipping charge, the Project Engineer will transmit the Bidding Documents via delivery service. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method selected by the prospective Bidder. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Project Engineer will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Project Engineer. A Bidder may withdraw any proposal submitted prior to the hour set for the closing of the Bids provided the request is signed in a manner identical with the proposal being withdrawn. No Bidder may withdraw a Bid within 45 days after the actual date of the opening.
