Bid Description:
The Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation Clean Water Initiative Program (CWIP) is pleased to announce the state fiscal year (SFY) 2020 Request for Proposals (RFP) for Ecosystem Restoration Grants. These grants are supported by state clean water funding. The goal of the program is to support projects that reduce sediment and nutrient pollution, including phosphorus, from runoff and soil erosion that discharge into the state’s rivers, streams, lakes, ponds, and wetlands. Two grant rounds will be held with SFY 2020 funds, applications for the second round are due February 6, 2020 at 4:00 pm EST. SFY 2020 funds available: For the Ecosystem Restoration Grants round due February 6, 2020, funding is available for natural resources restoration projects only, not stormwater projects, based on available funding. The first priority for utilizing these funds are for design or implementation of projects that are not eligible for funding through the Design/Implementation Block Grants (e.g., dam removal projects). The second priority for utilizing these funds is for all other natural resources restoration project types eligible for Clean Water Initiative Program funding (i.e., lakes, rivers, forest, and wetland projects). See the Vermont Clean Water Initiative Program Funding Policy for details regarding eligible project types and determination of eligibility.
