Bid Description:
North Country Supervisory Union/North Country Union Junior High School(NCSU/NCUJHS) is seeking proposals for the purchase, installation and configuration of managed Local Area Network (LAN) switches. SCOPE OF WORK A. Configure and install Local Area Network (LAN) switches that meet the following specifications I. Support at a minimum 10 Gb fiber uplinks between closets II. Ethernet switch port connections up to 5 Gbps full duplex for Wireless Access Points III. One (1) Layer 3 switch in MDF to interface with the SU WAN connections. IV. 48-port switches should support IEEE-802.3af and IEEE-802.3at Power Over Ethernet V. While we will accept and review all RFP responses, the preferred switch manufacturer is HPE/Aruba B. Data ports/ Switch Capacity per closets I. MDF (Room 306) a. One (1) - 48-port Switch with at least 4 SFP+ ports b. Four (4) 10 Gbps SFP+ Transceivers c. Power over Ethernet (PoE/PoE+) d. At least six (6) Smart Rate ports e. Multi-VLAN support capability and f. DHCP server capability II. Nurses Office a. One (1) – 48-port Switch with at least 2 SFP+ ports b. Two (2) 10 Gbps SFP+ Transceivers c. At least twelve (12) Smart Rate ports d. PoE/PoE+ capable III. Library a. One (1) – 48-port Switch with at least 2 SFP+ ports b. Two (2) 10 Gbps SFP+ Transceivers c. At least 8 Smart Rate ports d. PoE/PoE+ capable C. Switches will be configured as follows: I. Layer 3 switch shall be configured with: a. Interface with NCSU ELAN b. DHCP to support a 5:1 ratio of devices to students c. Static Routes II. Layer 2 Switches a. Configure with Trunk Ports and Switch Ports as necessary to interface with Core III. NCSU will provide VLAN, Gateway, Subnet Mask and IP route information for configuration IV. Vendor may configure and test switches offsite prior to installation onsite. D. Provide the NCSU/NCUJHS IT department with switch configurations and privilege executive mode usernames and passwords at time of installation. E. Provide a 1-year Warranty/Guarantee of equipment from the date of project completion/acceptance by NCSU/NCUJHS F. All work must be completed and satisfactorily tested before July 31, 2020.

Special Instructions:
Please note; NCSU/NCUJHS will be seeking reimbursement for work performed under this RFP through the federal ERate program. Respondents to this RFP must be registered with the FCC and provide their Service Provider ID Number (SPIN) to be considered for this project. Failure to provide a SPIN will automatically disqualify a respondent from the contract award process.
