The Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) Clean Water Initiative Program (CWIP) provides funding in the form of grants and contracts to support projects that reduce sediment and nutrient pollution, including phosphorus, from runoff and soil erosion that discharge into the state’s rivers, streams, lakes, ponds and wetlands.
OVERVIEW of WOODY BUFFER BLOCK GRANT:
DEC is requesting proposals to direct a program that will support the implementation of high-priority, cost-effective, native riparian woody buffer plantings. In total, $175,000 is available for project implementation of the Woody Buffer Block grant. Funding for project development costs is eligible through the Project Development and Technical Capacity Block Grant RFP.
