Bid Description:
The State is seeking information to explore the establishment of an in-state residential alternative to placements at Woodside for youth in the custody of the Commissioner of the Department for Children and Families who have been charged with or adjudicated as having committed a delinquent act and who are in the need for treatment and rehabilitation for a period of time exceeding approximately 30 days. In addition to serving youth in DCF custody and in the delinquency system, DCF and the Department of Mental Health (DMH) would like to hear from programs about also serving other youth with serious emotional, behavioral and mental health needs in this same setting. The new in-state residential alternative is meant to supplement Woodside, which in the near term will continue to serve youth while state determines the most effective and efficient system of serving at-risk youth. This new in-state program is meant for youth who have needs that require longer-term treatment.
