Bid Description:
The Town of Royalton is seeking design engineering proposals to replace an undersized culvert #8 on Davis Road with a 10’ to 12’ wide by 6’ high concrete box culvert. The box should be embedded 2’ and infilled with E2 stone so that there is a minimum 4’ high clear space at the outlet. The concrete box culvert should have headwalls at the inlet and outlet which extend 4’ below the channel bottom to act as cutoff walls. Flared wing walls are also recommended. The new culvert should be long enough for the width road – 40’ anticipated box culvert length. A hydraulic study has been requested from the Vermont Agency of Transportation. The deliverables should include a set of plans with proposed and existing conditions including a stream profile.
This project is funded by the VTrans Town Highways Structure Program Grant. Qualified disadvantaged (DBE) and women (WBE) owned businesses are encouraged to submit proposals.
