Bid Description:
The Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) Clean Water Initiative Program is requesting services to implement priority river corridor easements. These easements are to target critical river corridor and floodplain property to allow for the restoration of channel stability over time to reduce flood hazards, improve water quality and improve riparian habitats. River corridor easements ensure no new structures or development within the river corridor, support passive restoration by restricting intervention of the river adjustment processes, and provide for the development of a riparian buffer of native woody vegetation.

Pending the schedule of contract execution, it is anticipated that this work will be completed within 18 months of contract activation.

Deadlines
Submittal: All complete proposals must be submitted electronically via email to:
ANR.WSMDERP@vermont.gov, by August 12, 2019, at 4:00 pm ET using the subject line “2020 River Corridor Easement Proposal – {insert short organization name}.”
Bid opening: Proposals are anticipated to be opened August 13, 2019 at 9:00 am ET.
Notification: Proposal(s) preliminarily accepted by DEC are anticipated to be notified no later than August 30, 2019.
Incomplete proposals will not be evaluated.
