Bid Description:
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID for the Lower Bethel Mountain Road Repair Project. The Town of Rochester, Vermont is soliciting construction services for a project on Bethel Mountain Road in Rochester, beginning at a point on Lower Bethel Mountain Road approximately 324 feet northeast of the intersection of Bethel Mountain Road and Brook Street, and extending northeasterly 2,651-feet. Work to be performed under this project includes slope stabilization, cold plane and overlay of pavement, full depth pavement and subbase replacement, temporary access roads, drainage improvements, ditching, guardrail improvements, pavement markings, reconstruction of concrete waste block retaining wall, erosion control measures, and other related highway items. Bid Documents may be downloaded at www.dubois-king.com/projects-bidding-active. Hard copies of Bid Documents may be obtained from DuBois & King (see Invitation to Bid for information regarding how to obtain hard copies). All bidders shall be on the current VTrans Contract Administration pre-qualified list “Contractors List of Roads and Highway Construction Category”. Sealed bids from pre-qualified contractors shall be accepted until 4:30 pm on Friday, July 19, 2019 at the Town of Rochester Town Clerk, 67 School Street, Rochester, VT 05767. Bid opening will occur immediately after the bid submittal deadline. The time of receiving and opening bids may be postponed due to emergencies or unforeseen conditions. The Contract shall be completed on or before October 11, 2019.
