Bid Description:
To improve the quality of care in Vermont nursing homes a stakeholder workgroup was developed. The workgroup identified dementia care as a specific area where nursing homes are requesting additional education and support. This has been an ongoing area of concern for Vermont. Historically, Vermont has provided dementia care support to nursing homes through the Oasis Curriculum training, the Music & Memory initiative, as well as the Advancing Excellence in America's Nursing Homes Campaign. DAIL is soliciting Vendors who are able to introduce a new evidence-based training curriculum aimed at the needs identified by the State and local stakeholders or for Vendors to provide a well-developed plan to inspire and ensure nursing home engagement in Oasis, Music and Memory, and/or Advancing Excellence in America’s Nursing Homes.
