Bid Description:
Annually, Vermont State Parks operates several vessels, including a 56’ Commercial Ferry, between multiple Island State Parks in the Northwest Region of Vermont on the Inland Sea. The vessels are operating from April through November, and their ability to function is crucial to the operation of the State Parks they Service. Additionally, emergencies occasionally arise where work needs to be performed in a timely manner.
• The Vermont Department of Forest Parks and Recreation (FPR) seeks the services of Marine Diesel Mechanic(s), and is inviting written proposals to provide Marine Vessel Service work on various State owned vessels at various Vermont State Parks within the Northwest Region of Vermont.
• The marine services provided will generally be for maintenance and smaller projects, with the total estimated value not to exceed $30,000.00.
• The resulting contract(s) will be for hourly labor, materials and incidental expenses.
• Any resulting contract(s) will be for two years, with option for annual renewal for up to two additional years.
