Bid Description:
Separate sealed BIDS for the construction of the Colchester Causeway Recovery and Mitigation Project, including the installation of armor stone on both the lake side and bay side of the causeway, as well as the installation of a 4” thick geocell on the path surface, to be anchored by 1.5 ft x 1.5 ft x 3 ft dimensional quarried stone on both sides of the path, and to be filled with crusher dust path surface material. Approximately 10,050 linear feet of path repairs are included in the project from the causeway opening in the north to just south of the bridge. Reinforcement of the northeast abutment of the bridge will be required prior to allowing construction equipment to cross. The Mills Point Parking Areas can be used for the construction staging area, but it must be restored to its original condition upon completion of the project. All work to be performed for the Colchester Causeway Recovery and Mitigation Project will be in accordance with these Bid Documents, the plans prepared by the Krebs & Lansing Consulting Engineers, Inc., dated March 2019, and the Town of Colchester Specifications and Standards dated 2017.
Bids will be received by: Glen Cuttitta, Parks and Recreation Director, Town of Colchester, 781 Blakely Road, Colchester, VT 05446 (OWNER) until Thursday, 4 p.m. May 9, 2019, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.

A mandatory pre-bid conference for prospective bidders will be held at the Colchester Town Offices, Champlain Conference Room on Tuesday April 30, 2019, 1:30 p.m. at 781 Blakely Road, Colchester, VT.
