Bid Description:
The Town of Chelsea, Vermont, is requesting proposals from qualified contractors for the replacement and installation of a steel culvert to be purchased by the Town. The steel culvert is a 10’-8” x 6’9” Pipe-Arch culvert and is 60 feet in length. Contractor will be responsible for hauling of stone, erosion control measures, labor, excavation and removal of debris. Contractor will be responsible for erosion control measures, labor, signage, traffic control, excavation and removal of existing culvert, installing new culvert, back filling and compaction in 12” lifts, using any suitable existing material and removing and disposing of any unsuitable materials. Any needed materials for backfill of roadbed will be supplied by the Town. Contractor will place waste blocks for head walls for inlet and outlet ends supplied by the Town. Contractor will install 30’ stone-lined ditch on the north side of road to run to culvert. The Town will supply stone.
The Town has procured permits, if applicable.
Work must be completed by June 28, 2019.
