Bid Description:
Service Description (Scope of Work):
1. Evaluate sex offenders referred by the Vermont Treatment Program for Sexual Abusers (VTPSA) Program Director for the consideration of medication treatment. The evaluation will consist of consulting with the VTPSA treatment staff, reviewing written documentation in the offenders file, clinical interview of the offender, report writing and presenting findings to the VTPSA.
2. Prescribe medication as recommended in the report and coordinating the offender’s treatment with the facility medical staff. Contractor will see the offender on an as needed basis and document all contact in the VTPSA treatment file.
3. Consult with the VTPSA treatment team monthly and document all contact.
4. Work with the VTPSA community providers to locate a physician who will continue the medication treatment in a community setting upon the offender’s release into the community.
The applicant qualifications are as follows:
1. MD and licensed in Vermont.
2. Extensive experience treating sex offenders.
