Bid Description:
Project Description: The project consists of the reconstruction of the downstream earthen slope of the dam and installation of an articulated concrete block revetment system (ACB) for embankment overtopping protection. The work generally includes: excavation of the downstream slope, extension of the outlet pipe, installation of a new cast-in-place concrete toewall, placement of compacted earth embankment material and toe drain filter material, placement of the ACB system, stonefill and related work. The project also includes traffic control measures on NH32. Two (2) lane travel is required at all times and NHDOT approved traffic control measures are required. The Contractor is responsible for traffic control, shall prepare a traffic control plan and shall coordinate with the NHDOT to review and obtain approval of the traffic control plan from NHDOT prior to mobilization. The control of water, including the bypass of discharges through the project site and into the downstream channel is required at all times. All construction shall be performed in the dry. Contractor shall submit a specific control of water plan to the Engineer and NHDES for review and approval prior to mobilization. The Contractor is advised that several active utilities exist within the project area and cannot be disturbed. These include (but may not be limited to): the Town-owned sanitary sewer line, Town-owned water line, an overhead and buried utility line. The Contractor shall be responsible for: 1) Coordination with each utility owner prior to mobilization and any excavation activities, 2) notifying DigSafe prior to excavation activities, 3) the protection of all utilities during construction and 4) any and all costs associated with protection and any temporary relocation and replacement of utilities.

Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. The prospective Bidder is responsible for checking the web site as required to obtain any/all addenda that may be issued. The Issuing Office is NOT responsible for notifying prospective Bidders when addenda are posted. It is the responsibility of the Bidder to verify that all Addenda have been received and noted on the Bid Form. Each BID must be accompanied by a certified check payable to the OWNER for five percent (5%) of the total amount of the BID. A BID BOND may be used in lieu of a certified check.
