Bid Description:
Lake Carmi has elevated phosphorus levels that have resulted in numerous impacts to the lake, including severe cyanobacteria blooms. The Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) continues to collaborate with the Agency of Agriculture, Foods, and Markets (AAFM); Natural Resources Conservation Service; Franklin Watershed Committee; Lake Carmi Campers’ Association; Town of Franklin; Northwest Regional Planning Commission; and Farmers’ Watershed Alliance to address phosphorus loading from the Lake Carmi watershed. DEC requests formal written proposals and qualifications to provide the following services: final design and construction of an artificial circulation system for Lake Carmi.
