Bid Description:
The Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) Clean Water Initiative Program is requesting services to implement priority river corridor easements. These easements are to target critical river corridor and floodplain property to allow for the restoration of channel stability over time to reduce flood hazards, improve water quality and improve riparian habitats. River corridor easements ensure no new structures or development within the river corridor, support passive restoration by restricting intervention of the river adjustment processes, and provide for the development of a minimum riparian buffer of native woody vegetation.
