Bid Description:
The Department of Financial Regulation, pursuant to 8 V.S.A. §4089f and 8 V.S.A. §8093 and Regulations H-2011-02 issues this Request for Proposal for the selection of Independent Review Organizations (“IROs”) to provide objective clinical review of appeals from adverse medical necessity determinations and other determinations made by health plans and insurers operating in Vermont that are defined as “appealable decisions” under Vermont law. It is the State?s intent to contract with more than one bidder and, assuming this intent is realized, cases will be assigned to Contractors on a rotating basis.
